Overview:
Under the general direction of the
Technology Director, design, implement, troubleshoot, monitor,
maintain, and support network infrastructure, network
electronics, and network operating systems for Logansport
Community School Corporation.
Essential Functions:

Maintain user profiles to allow
system access, installation, repair.

Work with Network Administrator
to resolve issues with user access to resources.

Provide daily technical support
and maintenance of the Corporation's various software
packages.

Install and troubleshoot
software and hardware upgrades in a timely manner.
-
Ensure proper installation of
upgrades to the Corporation's various software
packages.
-
Ensure that all desktop
resources, including hardware such as printers and scanner as
well as application and operating software are operating
correctly.

Assist in maintaining up-to-date
documentation on each local area network including but not
limited to: IP addresses, user ID's, machine configurations,
domain names and numbers, etc.

Maintain current record of all
software licenses and ensures unlicensed software is not
installed on local area network servers.

Provide support for printers and
other peripheral devices.

Ensure the Corporation's various
software packages are meeting the expectations of the
administration and accurately reflect operating
conditions.

Responsible for ensuring that
proper software security practices are utilized.
Monitors security and makes recommendations regarding
changes, updates and modifications.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date
record of all warranty information related to the desktops
and desktop software.

Enter, update, and complete work
orders using the Technology Systems department's work order
system with all require information for the troubleshooting
and repair of Corporation hardware and software
resources.

Audio Visual (A/V) equipment
setup, and repair for Corporation meetings, performances, and
productions.

Performs other duties as
assigned.
Qualifications:
-
Associate's degree (A. A.) in a
related area of study or equivalent from a two-year college
or technical school; or two years related experience and/or
training; or an equivalent combination of education, training
and experience as determined by the Corporation.

IC3 and/or A+ Certification
preferred.

A technology background in an educational
setting is desired.

Minimum two years experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2003
(or above), Group Policies and Microsoft Active Directory.

Minimum two years experience with wide and
local area networks is required.
·
Experience with support of Apple Mac OS X
and iTouch/iPods preferred.
·
Experience with sysprepping and imaging Window
computers using WDS or FOG.
·
Demonstrated knowledge of wireless networking
equipment, and networking principals and concepts.
·
Demonstrated strong computer and
trouble-shooting skills in the Mac and PC.

Demonstrated knowledge of
Microsoft Office Products (to include: Word; Excel; Access;
PowerPoint; Publisher).

Demonstrate the ability to lift
or push computer equipment weighing more than 50 lbs.

Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.

Interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with a variety
of audiences and an ability to gain the cooperation of others
internally and externally.

Review from time to time and make recommendations as it relates
to technology in a school environment.

Ability to drive a car and
travel to different sites.

Must be able to work some
evenings and weekends and to be available on short notice to
resolve problems.
