School Psychologist
Description:
The School Psychologist helps to support the positive growth of
students' educational and social/emotional development by the
appropriate utilization of psychological assessments, assistance
to students who are in need and resource support to District
staff.
Qualifications:
Illinois Type 73 Certification, good physical health, clean
background check and communicates clearly in oral and written
form.
Responsibilities:
Responds appropriately to oral and written directions and assists
the District with identification of special education needs and
in assessments of programs, assesses problems of referred
students through the use of appropriate screening, testing and
other diagnostic techniques. This will involve the direction of
Watch Strategy meetings and participation in screening,
assessments and parent/teacher conferences as needed, determines
eligibility of students for special education programs and
services, participates in pre-school screening, provides direct
services to special education students in the form of
individuals, small group or classroom groups to address behavior
and social/emotional difficulties.
Salary:
Commensurate with experience and placement on the Certified
Salary Schedule.
