Job group E, $15.43 hourly, 8 hrs per day, 260 days per year.Temp for the 2012-2013 school year.MUST HAVE ADVANCED ESIS KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or equivalent required with three years responsible office experience with demonstrated successful employment. Ability to deal effectively and positively with parents, students, school staff, administration and other members of the public. Knowledge of office procedures, techniques and office management skills. Ability to compose a business letter using appropriate English grammar, spelling and punctuation. Knowledge of a school/student scheduling program, the reports associated with such a program and experience utilizing computer applications to manage data related to the schedule program. Ability to read information from various sources and process information into reports, forms, graphs, spread sheets and other required formats. Ability to collect, organize and store and retrieve data and information required to manage the student/class scheduling process. Ability to work under pressure and produce accurate information. Demonstrated ability to follow directions and maintain confidentiality. Position will include updating Curriculum Guide used by students, parents and staff. Update courses in eSIS, the school district's student information system, using the established district protocol. Prepare forecasting sheets for use by administrators and counselors. Help with the four year plan process. organize data entry into eSIS and enter data. With the with assistant principal to create the student/class/teacher master schedule and maintain the schedule. Review student schedules after the master schedule has been created and make sure that students have complete schedules that fit their needs and interest. Create schedules for new students based on counselor input. Process and evaluate schedule change requests within established district and building guidelines. Change schedules as needed taking into account requirements, work samples and student requests. Change schedules as needed taking into account requirements, work samples and student requests. Answer parent & student questions about schedules, requirements and options. Communicate with counselors and assistant principal about student schedules and concerns. manage class size and teacher loads within the established parameters of the district and building when scheduling students. Maintain confidentiality of student information as required by State and Federal laws. Must be able to provide proof of employment eligibility.
