Elementary guidance counselor LTS
Description: Full time long term substitute position providing individual and
group counseling to elementary school students. Teach developmental
guidance in classrooms. Provide consultation to staff and parents
regarding mental health and developmental needs. Position will begin on September 4 and the length of the assignment has not been determined.
Job Summary: Counselor
works with a students who are struggling with emotional, developmental
and social issues. Provides individual and group counseling in school.
Counselor provides leadership in their school regarding Social Emotional
Learning of students. Counselor also teaches classes in area of Social
Emotional Learning. Provides ongoing consultation to school staff and
in Social Work / Master's in Counseling Field. Counseling experience with elementary school age children. Skills in counseling and parent support.
Department of Elementary and Secondary Education license as a School
Guidance Counselor, Social Worker or School Adjustment Counselor.
