  Position Summary:

The SharePoint Administrator is responsible for managing the Microsoft SharePoint infrastructure, implementing applicable system upgrades and enhancements, provisioning user sites and access. This role will work closely with the data warehouse, business intelligence, enterprise applications and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless delivery of services. This role will ensure all components in the SharePoint environment are maintained and viable; this includes, sandbox, development and production environments. The SharePoint Adminstrator will assist end users with site design and navigation to ensure a consistent look and feel across the district.
 

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Leads SharePoint Governance Council and ensures that governance recommendations and practices are adhered to by District personnel
  • Serves as administrator of the District SharePoint environments
  • Installs SharePoint and applicable supporting software on District hardware, tests and deploys new functions as needed to improve District web offerings
  • Collaborates with District leadership, users, contracted vendors and peers to document, track and resolve any technical issues
  • Oversees the development and deployment or integration of tools including business intelligence tools, report delivery, InfoPath forms and other third party solutions
  • Assesses impact of new releases on current system landscape
  • Designs , deploys, or procures solutions as necessary to ensure seamless integration of InfoPath forms and associated workflows, business intelligence tools and related reporting,and integration with District’s ERP platform
  • Researches, recommends, and applies new SharePoint or 3rd party technologies to enhance the delivery of District services
  • Works closely with IT training staff to ensure knowledge and best practices are provided to District personnel
  • Provides consultative services to site owners on design and navigation to ensure consistent look and feel across the District
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the appropriate administrator

Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree required

Required Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT required
  • At least 3 – 5 years of experience with Microsoft SharePoint and 5 – 7 years of experience in graphic design for websites
  • Experience with Visual Studio, C#, ASP.Net, HTML, XML, MOSS, SharePoint Designer and Adobe Photoshop

Certification:
  • MCTS preferred

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be able to successfully manage multiple tasks, projects, and responsibilities
  • Ability to apply critical thinking skills in rendering solutions to various issues
  • Must be able to collaborate effectively with District personnel, the general public, and work with diverse groups of people
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

Salary Information:
 
Salary Range
  • $57,181.00 - $69,375.00

Step placement credit may be granted for up to a maximum of 7 years (Step 8) of prior verifiable experience.  Salary placement with Fulton County Schools is non-negotiable.  Actual salary placement will be based on Fulton County Board of Education experience calculations from the Non-Teaching Salary Schedule B-235, Executive Scale, Step 1 - Step 8.
