BASIC FUNCTION/PURPOSE
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

PERFORMANCE
RESPONSIBILITIES
-
Plan and conduct in-service
activities for parents.
-
Coordinate activities with the
principal, Title I Curriculum Specialist, and other
staff.
-
Facilitate activities
involving both children and parents.
-
Develop and maintain a
parent/community volunteer program.
-
Act as the building
communications representative.
-
Attend district level
communications representative.
-
Contact appropriate agencies
for public relations activities.
-
Post announcements/messages
on the interior and exterior signs.
-
Develop and distribute the
monthly parent newsletter.
-
Provide transportation to and
from the Parent Center/School when needed.
-
Conduct home visits and
telephone contacts.
-
Schedule appointments between
teaching staff and parents.
-
Select materials for the
Parent Center with the assistance of the principal, Title I
Curriculum Specialist, teaching staff and parents.
-
Provide and maintain a lending
library of materials for parents.
-
Coordinate activities with
community agencies.
-
Collect program data for
continuous evaluation.
-
Keep records and prepare
reports:
a.
Materials check out
b.
Volunteer names and hours
c.
Parent workshops
d.
Classroom visits
e.
Parent contacts: phone, school visits and home
visits

Other duties as directed by
the principal and/or Title I Curriculum Specialist.
