The School District of University City is seeking an outstanding Middle School Teacher for At-Risk Students to join our professional learning community. The successful candidate will be part of a high-energy team comprised of middle school adolescent educators dedicated to continuous educational improvement for each student.
Qualifications: MO certification, middle school teaching experience, as well as positive experience with educating at-risk students. The finalist selected for this position will be required to have previous expertise in utilizing research-based strategies to improve the academic, social and emotional development of 6th, 7th and 8th grade learners. Experience and success in implementing strategies to reduce the achievement gap are critical.
Compensation: The School District of University City offers a competitive minimum salary of $37,425, with up-to ten years of salary derivation chart credit given for public school teaching experience. In addition, we offer an excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, vision and life insurance, as well as graduate tuition reimbursement. This is a 9-month, exempt position, with a start date of August 7, 2012.
