12 - 2 - ESS - Speech Language Pathologist

• Master's degree or higher
• Colorado Department of Education - Special Services License with Speech/Language Pathologist endorsement
• American Speech and Hearing Association assessment certification or willing to obtain appropriate ASHA certificate

• Identify students with speech or language disabilities
• Diagnose and appraise specific speech or language disabilities
• Refer for medical or other professional attention necessary for the habilitation of speech or language disabilities
• Provide speech and language services for the habilitation or prevention of communicative disabilities
• Consultation, collaboration, and guidance of parents, teachers, and students regarding speech and language disabilities
• Attendance and involvement in staffings, annual reviews, and triennial reviews, in compliance with Federal and State rules and regulations
• Responsible for the establishment, maintenance, revision, and review of assessments, reports, goals and objectives, for students identified and served with speech and language disabilities
• Willingness to collaborate within general education classrooms
• Perform any and all other responsibilities as assigned by the Director
