 6.5 hours per day; Full Medical Benefits; 12 sick days and 8 paid holidays; This position may require lifting up to 50 pounds.  This position is contingent upon the needs of a specific student and is subject to modification.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:                                                         

              1.      Candidate should have a high school diploma.  Associates Degree preferred or Parapro Assessment

              2.      Ability to get along with middle school children and children with special needs

3.              Ability to maintain cooperative working relationship with staff and students

4.             Lifting student and assisting with personal hygiene needs are required

 

 

SALARY:           $18.13 per hour                         

                                                           

 

GENERAL DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES :

A significant part of this job may involve lifting the student and assisting with toileting.   Candidate must be able to lift 45-50 pounds .  The aide may also provide a variety of clerical and instructional services to the classroom personnel.   This includes carrying out teacher prepared lesson plans, supervising teacher-planned activities assisting in the preparation of materials for instruction, supporting children in the development of self help skills, and recording individual progress of students.  This position is contingent upon needs of the students and may be changed by the supervisor.
