BASIC FUNCTION/PURPOSE
Bus support monitor bears primary responsibility for
coordinating supervision of bus riders as well as follow-up
on all bus discipline situations. Other supervisory duties
during the day may include hallways and cafeteria duty. Some
evening and weekend duties may also be required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The employee performing the duties of this position is
frequently required to walk, sit, talk, hear, bend,
stoop, and reach. The employee may be occasionally
required to manually lift, move, or carry up to 50
pounds. The employee is required to interact with
staff and meet the demands of several different
people. The employee is responsible for the work
output of others. The employee occasionally works
extended hours. Vision abilities required by this
job include close vision, distance vision, depth
perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES (This list is not
all-inclusive)

Supervise bus areas before and after school.

Investigate bus incidents, complete appropriate paperwork
and entries in Infinite Campus.

Make parent contacts regarding bus incidents.
-
Supervise and monitor student traffic during the passing
periods.

Monitor hallways and outside grounds while classes are in
session. Assure that all students in the halls during this
period have passes.

Assist administrators and teachers in escorting students to
the office, lockers, in-school suspension room, class, and
out of the building.

Keep students moving during the passing periods. Students
will not be allowed to congregate between classes, except
before their lunch hour.

Must be respectful to students at all times, even if the
student is being disrespectful.

Assist administrators and teachers in maintaining a
positive learning environment.

Assist administrators with handling referrals and
disciplinary action for minor infractions during the school
day and at school-related activities and events.

Perform other duties assigned by an administrator.

Range:
Pay will range from $10.97 to $11.97 per hour
Evaluation
Frequency:
Job performance will be evaluated a minimum of 1 time per
year.
