Role Description:
To teach and assist students in academic achievement by
preparing weekly lesson plans and presenting daily instruction
coinciding with regular school day instruction.
Communicate and coordinate
with Youth Leaders to provide high quality instruction to
students.
Position
Responsibilities
:
Other duties may be
assigned.

Design, plan,
and facilitate educational activities with groups of children in
the Extended School Program.
·
Keep detailed
records of weekly/daily instruction.
·
Visit regular
classroom teachers on a quarterly basis to obtain any necessary
instruction concepts for better student retention/enhancement
purposes.
·
Other assistance
might include: reviewing class material, discussion the text,
predicting test questions, formulating ideas for papers, or
working on solutions to problems.
·
Supervise all
participants to ensure a safe and organized program.
·
Handle
discipline issues and follow discipline policies and
procedures.
·
Assist the Site
Coordinator with the planning and facilitation of special
projects and events.
·
Request needed
supplies, materials, and support in advance from the Site
Coordinator.
·
Hand in Lesson
Plans in a week ahead of time.
Qualifications
:
·
B.S Degree in
Education (Elementary preferred)
·
Responsible,
dependable, and mature
·
Team player and
willing to communicate with pertinent personnel within the
designated school and ESP program
·
Excellent
organizational skills
