Qualifications:
Required:
- Valid Colorado Teaching License or eligible for Colorado Teaching License
- Elementary Education Endorsement

Participation in all required professional development training and required team collaboration before and after school, evenings and summer months
- Commitment to support and participate in standard staff dress code
* Standard dress for Magnet school staff includes professional looking slacks or skirts in black or khaki; professional looking solid color tops (shirts, blouses, dress shirt) in white or black, blazers in black or khaki, ties or scarves in black and gold
Preferred:

Experience with and/or knowledge of International Baccalaureate (IB) Curriculum
-
Successful completion of IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) Level 1 training
-
Fluency speaking, reading, and writing Spanish
-
Experience with writing standards-based, integrated thematic curriculum units
-
Trained and able to use a variety of writing programs including 6-Trait Writing, Step-Up to Writing, and other research-based writing programs
-
Proficient in instructional technologies including web-based applications, computerized assessment, streaming, podcasting, and other cutting edge technology
-
Will consider National Teacher Board certification
-
In-depth knowledge of T-CAP, PIRLS, TIMSS, and NAEP assessment frameworks
-
Previous experience with and ability to implement scientifically-based reading research practices
-
Trained and actively utilizing Kagan or similar cooperative learning strategies
-
Previous experience with and ability to utilize data to make instructional decisions
-
Previous experience with and ability to collaborate and team teach
-
Experience in creation and use of transdisciplinary instruction in elementary environments that are highly challenging for a differentiated group of learners

Willingness to sponsor extended enrichment activities, clubs etc.

Willingness to teach intersession classes, before/after school intervention, etc.
