Digital Academy (TDA), a public online community school, has an opening for an elementary teacher. TDA provides
students with computer technology that allows them to progress at their own
pace, on their own personalized school calendar, 24/7. The K-6 teachers work with an
assigned group of students, providing day-to-day support and monitoring daily
progress, creating, implementing, and modifying learning objects to
meet the needs of students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and
special needs. The specific grade level assignment is to be determined. Licenses to be accepted are K-8, 1-8, and PreK-3 with 4-5 generalist.
Qualifications include: current
appropriate Ohio Teaching License and ability for HQT designation; teaching experience; and an understanding of individualized instruction and state testing requirements. A high level of comfort with educational technology and home high-speed internet access are required.
