Carroll Junior Senior High School is seeking a Choral Music Teacher for grades 7-12. This position has enough enrollments to support 4/7 of a contract. This position could grow to a full time contract with increases in student enrollment. A teacher with a license in Vocal & General Music with high school setting; Vocal & General Music 5-12, P-12; or Choral, General & Instrumental AG Area Major would be preferred. However, a license in Instrumental Music K-12 or 9-12 will also be considered.
The school seeks candidates with a passion for working with adolescent students and growing our choir program. A willingness to collaborate with other staff members and programs will be prerequisite. Ability to integrate literacy and problem solving into the music curriculum as part of the new common core curriculum is a must.
OPTIONAL: An Instructional Assistant position can be added to the Choral Music teacher position to make it a full time position. Benefits can be included.
