Position Title: .80 F.T.E. Social Studies Teacher

Brief Description: Teach grade 7 U.S. History and Geography and other Social Studies from Prehistoric through Reconstruction. Maintain a multicultural teaching focus and a strong emphasis in ELA reading, writing and note-taking. Implement New York State Standards and Common Assessments as per the ICSD core curriculum. Collaborate with team members and provide differentiated lessons for heterogeneously grouped classes.

Current Location: DeWitt Middle School

Anticipated Start Date: September 1, 2012

Required Qualifications:

• Possession of (or proof of eligibility for) New York State certification in Social Studies 7-12. If applicant holds and out-of-state certificate, you must have applied for the New York State certification.

Minimum Salary: $36,268 (2011-2012 full-time base)
