for a Director of Curriculum, Instruction and
Assessment.
Position/Type:
Administration/Director
Duties:
Leadership of curriculum, instruction, and assessment
programs and services for the District, including, but not
limited to, alignment of teaching and learning initiatives in
order to promote student achievement, use of internal
and external data to inform and lead improvements for student
achievement, coordination and implementation of District
assessment programs, leadership of purchasing process for
instructional services, materials, and professional
development; leadership and implementation of professional
development in order to advance knowledge and skills of
certificated staff and administrators, leadership of
curriculum standards process including alignment, backwards
design model, mapping, and common assessments, and service
with Board, administrators, and certificated staff regarding
a process of continuous improvement for the District.
Qualifications:
Master's Degree or Doctorate
Degree
Successful teaching and/or Administrator
experience
Demonstrated experience and success
regarding the leadership of curriculum, instruction, and
assessment work at building or District level.
Excellent communication skills and the
ability to function effectively as a member of an
administrative team.
The ability to understand complex data
sources and to review, analyze and present that information
to others in a usable and clear fashion.
The ability to articulate a vision for
curriculum, instruction, and assessment improvement for a
school district and to lead a strategic program of continuous
improvement.
Terms of Employment:
Eleven month contract. Salary is commensurate with
education and experience.
