Qualifications:

- Background and experience in the form of a resume

- Transcripts

- Michigan teaching certificate with K-5 All, K-8 Self-Contained endorsement (preferred)

- Bachelors degree (preferred) or transcripts indicating completion on Associates degree

 

Responsibilities:

·         Maintains regular attendance and is punctual.

·         Keeps privileged information confidential.

·         Displays a desire to work with students.

·         Serves as a role model.

·         Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing.

·         Demonstrates loyalty to the position and the Academy.

·         Helps the teacher prepare and distribute lesson materials.  

·         Instructs students under supervision of the teacher.

·         Guides children in working and playing harmoniously with other children.   

·         Assists the teacher in keeping the classroom neat, clean, and orderly to provide work and study areas conducive to learning.     

·         Collects and displays suitable materials for bulletin boards and other educational displays.    

·         Assists teachers with supervision of students during play periods. 

·         Maintains current and accurate records as requested.

·         Willingly accepts other related duties assigned by the Principal.   

·         Works without supervision (demonstrates initiative)

·         Maintains positive, professional and cooperative work attitude.

·         Plans and organizes own work effectively.

·         Maintains professional personal appearance.
