RE:         .8 EC Classroom Assistants (3) at Glenside Elementary School –

   Classification C

 

Muskegon Public Schools has three (3) open positions for .8 Early Childhood Classroom Assistants at Glenside Elementary School.  These are Classification C position, at 7 hours a day, 4 days a week.  Starting pay at Step 1 of the pay scale is $10.13 per hour.

 

Qualifications:

Classification C –The general ability to work with demanding special education students individually or in small groups within the general education environment.  This may include toileting and/or handling of special instructional interventions for children with special physical and learning problems.  The willingness to accept difficult assignments and the ability to respond to the children’s needs as well as special skills in behavior management may be required.

 

Education:

All Classroom Assistants are required to have an associate’s or higher degree in a related field; or completed 60 semester hours of study at an institution of higher education; or pass the state approved test (WorkKeys).
