Qualifications: 

• Iowa teaching license required
• Science and Reading endorsements required
  • MS Generalist preferred
• Demonstrates effective research-based teaching strategies
• Knowledge of Professional Learning Communities encouraged
• Ability to incorporate innovative labs into instruction preferred
• Must be able to collaboratively work on a team with fellow teachers
• Demonstrates competence in classroom management
• Demonstrates ability to differentiate instruction
• Self-starter, enthusiastic, creative and visionary educator
• Aligns classroom assessment with instruction
• Creates classroom culture that supports learning of every student
• Experience working with diverse cultural population
• Works collaboratively with peers

Working Conditions: 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to indoor and outdoor conditions.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to frequently walk, stoop, bend, and sit.  The noise level in the work environment ranges from mild to loud.
