Primary Purpose:
Provide supervision to elementary students in the After School Program.
Qualifications (Experience/ Education/Certification):
Experience working in Education setting with children; CPR Certification, First Aid and UDCA training.
Major Responsibilities:
§ Coordinate with Extended Day Director and Extended Day Program Manager in order to meet the needs of students.
§ Work within the campus Master Schedule.
§ Supervise up to 18 students.
§ Maintain and organize supplies and materials.
§ Maintain accurate attendance and student check-in and check-out system.
§ Meet regularly with Extended Day Program Site Director to discuss areas of success and improvement.
§ Proactively manage student behaviors as they arise.
§ Use data to track student's academic progress.
§ Attend and implement staff development.
§ Complete reports for campus program.
§ Conserve electricity as outlined in the districts energy management plan
Special Knowledge/Skills:
§ Knowledge of all district and campus operating procedures and guidelines.
§ Knowledge of curriculum and instruction.
§ Skill in communicating and collaborating effectively with others and working in a team-based environment.
§ Skill in working with computer tools, including but limited to: email, internet, Word, Power Point, etc.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
The Extended Day Group Leader will directly supervise students enrolled in the PISD Extended Day Program.
Working Conditions (Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Demands):
Maintain emotional control under stress; must be able to lift and/or carry 30 lbs independently and over 50 lbs with assistance.
