DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  1. Counsels students in dealing with problems regarding plans and adjustment to John H. Walker Middle School.

 

  1. Counsels assigned students in making personal, social, and educational choices.

 

  1. Seeks and makes arrangements for assistance for counselees who have special learning problems and adjustment difficulties through appropriate school/community agencies.

 

  1.  Is available for conferences with parents.

 

  1.  Assists with the testing program and interprets results.

 

     6.   Assists in improving teacher-student relationships.

 

 

     7.  Reviews grades and progress reports of assigned counselees.

 

 

      8. Performs other tasks as assigned by director of guidance, principal and/or designee.
