Participate in students'
Eligibility Determination, IEP, and Behavior
Intervention Plan and parent/teacher Conferences.
Complete social histories and updates as needed.
Remain current with
community resources such as:
respite residential, extracurricular activities for
students, camps, finding resources, etc. and attend
community network meetings as appropriate.
Knowledge or experience
in diagnostic and instructional strategies in working
with students with behavioral concerns, autism,
developmental delays, and intellectual
disabilities.
Provide staff support in
practices relating to scientific based instruction,
student assessment, and problem-solving.
Assist parents with
applications, paperwork, etc., to facilitate access
of community resources and facilitate parent tours to
community resources.
Plan and facilitate
parent and sibling support groups.
Counseling and
instruction for individual students and groups on IEP
goals and student social, emotional and communication
needs.
Engage in staff
development through membership in professional
organizations, staff development, consulting and
research.
Ability to demonstrate
flexibility and responsiveness.
Position involves travel across Niles
Township.
Other duties as
assigned.
