Special Education Aides

Job Summary:

Student assistance with class work, homework, testing and communication.

Qualifications:
Strong desire to assist students with academic, social and physical needs.  Minimum of High School or GED diploma.

PA School Code Chapter 14.105 currently requires 20 hours of staff development each school year. 

Requirements: 

Credential of competency required for all special education paraprofessionals.  Competency must be demonstrated and documented by one of the following:

• completion of an Associate's Degree or higher
• completion of 2 years post-secondary education
• completion of the Credential of Competency for Special Education Paraeducators

Positions specifications:   One position: 6 work hours per day, 5 days per week, 180 days per year

                                    Two positions:  6.5 work hours per day, 5 days per week, 180 days per year.
