Antioch District 34 is seeking a Math Lab Aide to work at  W.C Petty Elementary for the 2012/2013 school year.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Illinois Paraprofessional Certificate or ability to attain
  • Ability to work as part of an educational team to support student success
  • Patience, flexibility and ability to take initiative
  • Ability to problem solve and demonstrate perseverance
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Strong time management skills

  PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Implement focused math skill instruction conducted in individual and small group settings that target improvements in math understanding for identified students.
  • Must keep written record of work with individual and small groups of students on a daily basis to be communicated with the classroom teacher.
  • Participates in math staff development training on an on-going basis.
  • Communicates daily with classroom teachers on student needs and progress.
  • Conducts other staff duties and responsibilities as directed by the everyday math specialist or designee, including attending meetings as requested or required by the math coordinator or designee, attending and participating in community meetings and working with community organizations, and any other staff function required by the math coordinator or designee.
