Antioch District 34 is seeking a Math Lab Aide to work

for the 2012/2013 school year.
Illinois Paraprofessional Certificate or
ability to attain
Ability to work as part of an educational
team to support student success

Strong time management skills
Implement focused math skill instruction
conducted in individual and small group settings that
target improvements in math understanding for identified
Must keep written record of work with
individual and small groups of students on a daily basis to
be communicated with the classroom teacher.
Participates in math staff development
training on an on-going basis.
Communicates daily with classroom teachers
on student needs and progress.
Conducts other staff duties and
responsibilities as directed by the everyday math
specialist or designee, including attending meetings as
requested or required by the math coordinator or designee,
attending and participating in community meetings and
working with community organizations, and any other staff

Antioch School District 34, a pre K-8 district, is nestled in the midst of the popular Chain of Lakes area in Lake County, with roots that are part farming and part resort. The Antioch Community Consolidated School District 34 serves 3,100 students from Antioch and parts of the surrounding communities of Lake Villa and Lindenhurst. It is comprised of four elementary schools and one middle school, all of which are accredited.
With over 200 certified staff, Antioch District 34 is dedicated to the continual improvement o student achievement. The district is governed by a 7 member Board of Education who are elected by the public and serve without compensation.
