School Nurse Substitute
RN to work as substitute in school health offices. Provides basic first aid for minor illnesses and accidents. Records information on daily logs. Consults with school nurse on more serious injuries or accidents. Administers medications to students. Assists in health screenings such as hearing, vision and lice checks.
Requirements: Current Arizona license as a Registered Nurse. Current CPR and First Aid certificates. Bachelor's degree in nursing and two years experience in public health nursing delivering services to children and adolescents in a public school setting.
This position would substitute for the School Nurse, or for the Health Assistant under supervision of the School Nurse. Assignments could be full or half-day, on occasional as-needed basis.
