New Milford Public Schools has an opening for a computer technician, level I. This is a school year position.
The computer technician is responsible for the overall maintenance of school computer equipment, operation of the computer laboratory(s), and/or other general functions deemed appropriate by the Technology Director or by other supervisory personnel. The technician assists the staff in carrying out the objectives of the technology curriculum for the K-8 schools and to maintain appropriate records.
Qualifications are:
· High school diploma, minimum; preferably a junior college or college graduate.
· A knowledge of computer technology. The person selected will either have formal training in technology or practical experience working with computers.
· An expertise in working with computers and the multimedia equipment located in the technology laboratories.
· Experience with computer networking is preferred.
