School Age Care (SAC) Site Supervisor

Position Description:

Provide planning for a School Age Care program site in accordance with program guidelines and protocols established by Community Education leadership. The Site Supervisor facilitates a stimulating and developmentally appropriate large group care and learning environment before and after school for children in grades K-5 and has primary responsibility for communications between parents, SAC program staff and elementary instructional and building staff.


Position Requirements:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Post secondary training in child development, early childhood/elementary, secondary education, recreation, social services, or related field is preferred. Possess or obtain CPR and first aid certificate upon employment. Evidence of previous, successful experience working with school age children in a large-group care/education environment.

Other Skills & Abilities:

Skill in building quality relationships with children; able to maintain cooperative staff partnerships. Ability to create activity plans reflective of national out-of-school time standards.

Schedule:

5 days per week (including school and non-school days during district academic calendar) / 5.75 hours per day.  Position begins September 4, 2012.  Site set-up and orientation the week of August 27th.  This is a split-shift position, 6:15-8:30 am and 2:00-5:30 pm.  The daily work schedule may be adjusted based on daily attendance of participating children.

 

Pay Rate:

$13.21 per hour
