ENGLEWOOD SCHOOLS POSITION TITLE: Site Manager EFFECTIVE:
2012-2013 8 hrs/day 230 days/year POSITION SUMMARY: This position
is responsible for the physical condition of the school and
grounds. Work closely with building and district administration to
coordinate work requests. Supervise, direct, evaluate and provide
feedback to custodial employees. Develop and promote good community
relations among various community and school clientele. ESSENTIAL
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Schedule and assign work
responsibilities at site; adjusts as necessary. Delegate or assume
responsibility for night crew activities/events as well as duties
required during inclement weather. Maintain ongoing two-way
communication with custodial employees, administrative and school
personnel as required. Answer emergency calls at any time. Familiar
with Police, Fire, and Administrator phone numbers. Ensure safety
precautions are being used (e.g., MSDS sheets, gloves, safety
goggles, etc.) Inspect for preventative maintenance opportunities
and report the same day. Process employee timecards, investigate
and follow up on discrepancies. Train and evaluate custodial and or
contracted employees. Identify, evaluate and resolve issues with
stakeholders. Implement and maintain grounds maintenance plan.
Ensure setup and breakdown for groups, special events or
activities. Spot-check work for appropriate utilization of
specialized equipment, chemicals, safety procedures, etc. Implement
emergency procedures (e.g. health related emergencies, snow days,
accidents, early dismissal, and emergency closure). Assign and
perform cleaning and maintenance related to the upkeep and
operation of the site. Responsible for the general security of
site. Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment. Delegate or
assume responsibility for snow/ice removal from walkways and other
areas. Establish student, staff and parental rapport that allows
for a proactive response to potential problems. Actively lead or
participate in meetings, in-service, and other required training.
Apply and implement knowledge, skills and new understands to
support site. Perform other related duties as assigned or
requested. SUPERVISION/TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervise,
schedule, direct, train, evaluate and provide feedback to custodial
employees. Perform disciplinary action, when necessary. BUDGET
AND/OR RESOURCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Prioritize and schedule work
tasks independently. Create and implement effective and efficient
process management strategies (e.g., procedures, equipment,
materials, and supplies). Maintain accurate records in accordance
with professional standards, state guidelines, and school system
policy. The education/training/experience, license/certification,

EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE: High School Graduate or equivalent.
Bilingual (preferred). Three (3) to five (5) year job related
experience. Three (3) years demonstrated supervisory experience.
Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical units.
Custodian English fluency will be determined through the interview
process. LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS: Valid Colorado Driver's
License. Valid Commercial Driver's License (preferred). Valid CPR
and First Aid Certification. GENERAL EXPECTATIONS: Is flexible. Has

experience with irrigation systems. Has knowledge of cleaning and
maintenance equipment and materials. Has the ability to work with

the ability to perform responsibilities without the necessity of

synthesize and evaluate. Has the ability to meet attendance
standards and work the hours necessary to perform the essential
functions. Maintain confidentiality. Maintain a generally positive
attitude. Observe all District policies and procedures. Adhere to
federal and state legislation, regulation, and policies. ESSENTIAL
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Frequent lifting up to 50 (fifty) pounds at
a time, moving equipment, furniture, and other related materials.
Frequent lifting/moving up to 100 (one hundred) pounds. Occasional
lifting/moving over 100 (one hundred) pounds. Frequent and
repetitive bending, squatting, standing, reaching, walking,
stooping, crawling, climbing, balancing, and kneeling. Occasional
sitting. Vision required: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth
and ability to adjust focus. Required to walk, use hands to finger,
feel or handle; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; and
smell. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Frequent exposure to dirt, dust, odors,
and fumes. Occasional exposure to hazardous materials. Occasional
exposure to adverse climate and weather conditions. REPORTS TO:
Director of Operations, Maintenance and Transportation or designee.

$16.99 - $23.12 per hour, depending on qualifications and
