QUALIFICATIONS
Official evidence of the following: Bachelor's Degree in
Education or a directly related field from an accredited
college/university; Texas Standard Principal certificate,
Mid-management certificate, or a Probationary certificate based
on admission to a TEA approved Administration Preparation
Program.
Professional Development and Appraisal System (PDAS) appraiser
certification required within 90 days of appointment.
Master's Degree in a directly related field, preferred from an
accredited college/university.
Five plus years of experience as a classroom teacher.
Prior
academic leadership experience preferred
Results driven
Superior knowledge of business software applications e.g. Word,
Excel, Powerpoint, Google Docs, etc.
Demonstrated thorough knowledge of the principles, methods,
strategies, goals and objectives of public education.
Extensive knowledge of effective instructional pedogogies
Demonstrated knowledge of procedures, techniques and strategies
pertaining to the administration o
f a secondary school level operation.
Demonstrated success in a mentoring/coaching
capacity
Commitment to process improvement and excellence
Demonstrated ability to effectively plan, organize and coordinate
the management functions and activities of a secondary school
operation.
Demonstrated ability to carry out responsibilities with little or
no supervision.
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities with frequent
interruptions.
Demonstrated ability to promote a positive, caring climate for
learning.
Demonstrated ability to effectively analyze problems, issues and
concerns and formulate appropriate alternative solutions.

Key Accountabilities/Essential Job Functions
Scholar achievement
Partner with Principal to create and maintain data-driven
environment; analyze results to target initiatives
Assist with design and exection of the school's strategic plan
relative to scholars' performance, attendance, interventions,
promotion rates, and MAP and DCCAS growths.
School Culture
Partner with Principal to promote and foster environment of
accountability for scholar achievement
Innovate and implement programs to effect deeper learning
Ensure consistent discipline and reward practices
Coordinate parent and community involvement initiatives
Management
Ensure instruction aligns with Common Core Standards
Partner with Principal to design and facilitate professional
development programming
Observe teacher practice/evaluate teacher performance; provide
substantive and meaningful feedback
Assists with hiring and retaining high quality faculty and
staff
Leadership
Foster climate of high expectations
Exemplify and promote necessary sense of urgency relative to
scholar growth and success
Serve as subject matter expert relative to teaching and
learning
Lead, guide, and champion campus programs and initiatives
Compliance
Manage school operations within approved budget
Ensure commitments of school improvement plan
