Duties & Responsibilities:  (Essential Functions of Position, Major Responsibilities, Summary of Key Duties, Special Assignments, Relationships)

·   Provide focused intervention support for students who are struggling in reading

·   Collaborate with classroom teachers and other staff to design support that meets student needs

·   Prarticipate in schoolwide professional development

·   Other duties as assigned

·   Be willing to be trained in intervention programs.

 


Physical Requirements of Position:  (HBV   Yes   No)

·   Must be able to go up and down stairs

·   Must be able to be outside in cold weather

·   Must be able to lift 50 pounds


Special Qualification Desired:  (Personal Qualities, Education, Skills Needed, Experience, Etc.)

·   Endorsement 148

·   expert level of knowledge/experience regarding literacy, including its assessment and instruction

·   able to work as a team member

·   excellent attendance

·   believes all students can learn

·   technologically literate

·   Successful candidate must possess strong inter-personal skills with a proven record of building rapport with culturally diverse students and their families to ensure that each child recaches his/her full potential.
