QUALIFICATIONS:

·             Bachelor's Degree preferred

·          Extensive experience with hardware and software

·          Knowledge and experience with network desktop support

·          Knowledge of educational systems and experience working in an educational setting

·          Fluency in the English language in order to communicate verbally and in writing as required by this type of position

·          Excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.

·          Must possess full range of motion to reach all areas for:  operation and/or care of equipment; to procure, store, and inventory materials necessary in the performance of the job; to assist in the physical aspects of working with and moving computer equipment.  This includes being able to lift thirty (30) pounds or more.

 

REPORTS TO:  Director of Instructional Technology and Directory of Technology Systems

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

·          PowerSchool tasks:  Quarterly Elementary Report card maintenance and support, web page customizations, Parent Portal maintenance, support and notifications, PowerTeacher support, Scheduling support, Summer elementary class setup (teacher and student assignments as submitted by building administrators).

·          Data tasks:  SIS Student demographic data uploads, MAP uploads, Inform uploads   

·          Help Desk tasks:  MAP, PowerSchool, Destiny, Inform, email, voice mail, website, core software, hardware, etc.

·          System administrative tasks:  Staff user account administration (Active Directory, Exchange, distribution lists, voice mail, website, user folders, PowerSchool, Inform); student account development (computer lab assists).

·          Clerical tasks:  inventory of hardware and licenses; filing; poster printer management and creation or editing of District web documents.

·          Instructional Technology Tasks:  work with classroom teachers to integrate technology into instruction at a transforming level, participate in LRC Department and Technology Committee meetings.

·          Other duties as assigned.
