OFFICE PERSONNEL III
Assignments: District Administration; Transportation; Elementary Schools; Middle Schools; High Schools; Special Services; Human Resources; but not limited to.
DEFINITION:
Under limited supervision, performs varied and increasingly responsible secretarial and clerical work including maintaining records; processing documents; completing reports; communicating/dealing with the public, students and staff; relieving the administrator of routine administrative and/or clerical detail and performing other related duties as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalency. Additional
secretarial/clerical courses desirable.
Experience: Two (2) year employment in responsible secretarial position
Some experience in Education desirable.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs standard secretarial and clerical skills. Maintains a variety of files. Maintains files, schedules meetings, appointment and conferences. Screens office visitors and telephone calls either answering questions or referring them to the other sources of information. Analyzes, complies, tabulates and completes various forms. Types and transcribes letters, reports, bulletins, requisitions. Posts a variety of information from standardized media to various types of control records. Research board policies and other materials. After experience, may compose reports or memoranda dealing with routine matters independently. Handles confidential information and data concerning students and staff. Coordinates work with that of other sites or departments in developing data and information. Practices a high level of human relations skills and confidentiality. Handles data processing procedures and performs other related duties as may be required.
SUPERVISES: No Supervisory functions. May give direction to OP II.
SUPERVISION FROM: Any Administrator; Supervisor; Principal; Vice Principal; and any higher level secretary.
