QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- High School Diploma, or equal
- Highly Qualified (must be HQ by one of the following standards; links provided for HQ details):
-60 semester college credits with a GPA of 2.0 or higher
-ParaPro exam (passing score of 460 or higher, http://www.ets.org)
-Portfolio (Para elink completion of modules with accompanying portfolio documenting competencies, http://ici.umn.edu/elink/index.html)

CLASS IV SUMMARY:
This class is the fourth level in the five level Paraprofessional group. Paraprofessionals within this level include Educational, Title 1, Special Education, Media, Technology, Jump Start, Cultural Navigators and Classroom Paraprofessionals. Paraprofessionals provide assistance to licensed staff throughout the learning environment and, under the direction of the building administrator and/or licensed staff, the paraprofessionals in this level are responsible for assisting students with one-on-one and group defined instructional activities, supporting student needs in preparing their lessons for all subject areas and assisting and supervising students during instructional and non-instructional activities. Paraprofessionals in this level also maintain awareness and observe student’s activities/actions, assessing behavior including communicating rules, expectations and consequences. Paraprofessionals in this level may also provide administrative support by performing record keeping and clerical functions supporting the building administrator and/or licensed staff and assist the building administrator and/or licensed staff with educational materials or procedures, cataloging, preparing and/or inventorying materials and supplies.

SALARY:
$10.88/hr - $13.94/hr (Salary is subject to negotiated agreement and work experience)
