ENGLEWOOD SCHOOLS POSITION TITLE: Custodian (Evening)
EFFECTIVE: As soon as possible. 8 hrs/day 240 days/year 2:30pm -
11pm Summer hours vary. POSITION SUMMARY: This position is
responsible for the physical condition of the school and grounds.
Develop and promote good community relations among various
community and school clientele. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform cleaning and maintenance related to the
upkeep and operation of the site. Set up and disassemble for
groups, special events or activities. Assist supervisor with
inventory of supplies and equipment. Remove snow from walkways and
other areas. Establish student, staff and parental rapport that
allows for a proactive response to potential problems. Actively
participate in PLCs and other required training. Apply and
implement knowledge, skills and new understands to support site.
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
SUPERVISION/TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES: None. BUDGET AND/OR
RESOURCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Prioritize and schedule work tasks
independently. Create and implement effective and efficient process
management strategies (e.g., procedures, equipment, materials, and
supplies). Maintain accurate records in accordance with
professional standards, state guidelines, and school system policy.

EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE: High School Graduate or equivalent.
Bilingual (preferred). One (1) year job related experience
(preferred). Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical
units (preferred). English fluency will be determined through the
interview process. LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS: Valid Colorado
Driver's License. Valid CPR and First Aid Certification. GENERAL

knowledge of cleaning and maintenance equipment and materials. Has

evaluate. Has the ability to meet attendance standards and work the
hours necessary to perform the essential functions. Maintain
confidentiality. Maintain a generally positive attitude. Observe
all District policies and procedures. Adhere to federal and state
legislation, regulation, and policies. ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL
REQUIREMENTS: Frequent lifting 5 (five) to 20 (twenty) pounds.
Occasional lifting 20 (twenty) to 50 (fifty) pounds. Frequent
bending, squatting, standing, reaching, walking, and stooping.
Occasional sitting, crawling, climbing, kneeling. WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Frequent exposure to dirt, dust, odors, and fumes. Occasional
exposure to hazardous materials. Occasional exposure to adverse
climate and weather conditions. REPORTS TO: Lead Custodian or
designee. LOCATION: Charles Hay World School. SALARY: External
Applicants: $11.95 - 16.26 per hour, depending upon qualifications.
