Web Coordinator position is available at Westfield Washington Schools effective August 8, 2012. Overall responsibility is to maintain the school district's web site as well as several ancillary web sites and web services. Typical assignments include: overseeing site content and design, communicating with web content providers (located in schools, departments, and administrative units), developing and maintaining the district web site, developing and maintaining campus-wide web site policies and procedures, assisting in the adoption of new web technologies, including streaming media, new online instruction technologies, and dynamic content, leading professional development sessions with school staff, and performing related duties as assigned.
Four year degree preferred
Proficiency with the elements of contemporary Web design and maintenance, including dynamic content, online publications, streaming media and portal design.
Familiarity with Linus, including the implementation and maintenance of a LAMP system.
Familiarity with Windows Server.
Familiarity with Windows desktop OS.
Basic knowledge and understanding of networking technologies and protocols.
Experience with Wordpress and Moodle.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to recommend and implement standards and policies.
Demonstrate ability to work in a team environment and establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, students and staff form diverse ethnic, cultural and soio-economic backgrounds.
