QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Associate degree or completed at least two years of study at an institution of higher education
  • Demonstrated valid drivers license, insured and reliable vehicle

Preferred:

  • Bilingual (Spanish)
  • Demonstrated appropriate training/experience with at-risk students and families
  • Demonstrated ability to work tactfully/cohesively with students, staff, administrators, parents, and community members
  • Demonstrated knowledge of community services available to students and families
  • Demonstrated skills in behavior management techniques in a school setting
  • Demonstrated ability to record precise required student grant data
  • Ability to work varied hours as program/student need dictate

Contract Terms:

215 work days - 7 hours per day (flexible hours)

Benefits fall under Schedule B - Specialized Support Employee

Salary - $19,563

Description:

1. Responsible for accessing community resources for students and families

2. Assist students in being successful in the school setting

3. Work with families in addressing attendance issues, academic issues, and behavior issues of identified students

4. Work with school personnel in addressing the needs of students

5. Document services provided to students and families

6. Collaborate with social services agencies

7. Communicate with school personnel, program coordinator, and Director of Student Intervention Services

8. Coordinate and implement planned services under the direction of the program

9. Possess an excellent work ethic/attitude and take ownership/responsibility for project completion

10. Perform any and all other responsibilities as assigned by your supervisor
