Job Qualifications:
Indiana Teaching License in Speech/Language Pathology
Experience with Preschool students preferred
Job Description
Provide evaluation, IEP development and speech services to meet the individual needs of students in the area of speech and language for grades PreK-12. Primary caseload may be preschool with some supervision of secondary students’ programs
Serve as Teacher of Record for students with speech and language disabilities.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary team for evaluation and program planning for students with multiple disabilities.
Possess and apply knowledge of special education laws and regulations and will follow developed procedures as set forth by the district.
Communicate and collaborate with staff and parents.
Know and use current theory and techniques in the field of speech and language pathology as it affects the identification, referral and monitoring of students with communication disorders
Able to supervise speech pathology assistant providing evaluation for her students, planning programs to be carried out by assistant and writing IEP and holding conferences with assistant.
Works with Joint Services and district appointed agency to bill Medicaid for speech and language services.
