1.0 FTE Kindergarten English Immersion Teacher at Eagle Creek Elementary School.
Job Summary:
This extended day kindergarten program will complement and extend learning that happens in the part day kindergarten program for the student. The students in these classes all attend the part day kindergarten program; and will spend the other part day in the KEI class. The primary focus of this time will be to develop language skills, learning readiness skill, as well as work on basic kindergarten skills. The candidate must have a solid understanding of primary instruction, especially kindergarten; understand early childhood and school readiness; and have the knowledge to help the learner develop English and Academic language.
Qualifications:Valid MN teaching license in Elementary Education preferred.
Candidae does not need to be bilingual, but must possess cultural competency skills, and an appreciation of diverse cultures.
Prefer prior teaching experience.
