Work toward school-wide goals that ensure that
all students have equal access to rigorous academic
programs and mainstream activities of the school.
§
Promote the use of instructional methodologies
that enhance student access to rigorous curriculum.
§
Promote the institutionalization of AVID as a
school-wide program.
§
Promote a college-going culture at the school
that supports high expectations and levels of
achievement for all students.
§
Teach AVID methodologies and strategies in the
AVID elective class.
§
Use the AVID curriculum to instruct students in
writing, inquiry, collaboration, and reading.
§
Actively participate in regular AVID site team
meetings.
§
Attend AVID Summer Institute at least once.
§
Act as AVID liaison with department team
members.
§
Recruit and interview new AVID students and site
team members.
§
Assist with annual AVID certification and data
collection requirements.
§
Assume leadership roles in components of the
AVID campus program such as conducting parent or staff
workshops, scheduling speakers for the AVID class, and
coordinating community service projects, field trips,
or fundraisers.
§
Provide academic and personal mentoring support
for AVID students, as needed.
§
Attend AVID trainings, when available.
§
Perform other duties as assigned.
§

districts energy management plan
