POSITION
LOCATION: Southwest/West Central
Service Cooperatives (SW/WC SC) with placement in the Willmar and New London,
MN areas.
POSITION
SUMMARY: The Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR) assesses
students with various physical, neurological, sensory and perceptual
impairments to determine their functional skills within their current
educational placements. The OTR is
responsible for developing, implementing, and/or monitoring therapeutic
programs and providing consultation to school staff and parents to maximize
student skills
MAJOR
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: To provide
Occupational Therapy services to Birth to age 21.
EDUCATION
AND EXPERIENCE: Master’s Degree required. Need to be licensed or eligible for licensure
in the State of Minnesota as Occupational Therapist Registered. NBCOT accreditation. Valid driver’s license required.
CONTRACT/SALARY: 143-day contract for
the 2012-2013 school year. Starting salary dependent on education,
qualifications and experience.

WHAT
IS THE SW/WC SC?: The SW/WC SC is an
autonomous regional agency providing programs and services to member schools
and cities/counties/other governmental agencies in an 18-county area in
southwest and west central Minnesota.
Besides the administrative office located at the Market Street Mall in Marshall, service center offices are located in Montevideo, Willmar,
Pipestone, and Windom. The 225-plus
employees include special education teachers, special project coordinators,
support, administrative, and technical staff.
