Qualifications:

 

Required:

  • Valid Colorado Teaching License or eligible for Colorado Teaching License
  • Special Education Generalist, Special Education Specialist or Special Education Moderate to Severe Needs Endorsement
  • Elementary or K-12 Level or
  • Licensed and endorsed in another content area with completion of an approved special education program or willing to enroll/complete an approved special education program from an accepted institution of higher education

Preferred:

  • Experience and/or training involving autism students and programs
  • Familiarity with discrete trial training and behavior modification
  • Willingness to participate in further training specific to autism
  • Ability to lead a team of support staff in the classroom and within the building
  • Knowledge of and experience with IDEA 2004
  • Knowledge of and experience with District Policies and Procedures
  • Knowledge of and experience with Infinite Campus or willingness to learn
