Physical Education Teacher

Antioch Upper Grade School is seeking a quality candidate to fill a Middle School Physical Education teaching position for a teacher who will be on maternity leave that begins August 20, 2012 and concludes on or about November 9, 2012.  Experience is preferred and individual must possess valid Illinois certification as required by the State of Illinois. 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Appropriate Illinois certification
  • Expertise/background in music education
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated with demonstrated time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to perform as part of a team
  • Flexible, independent self-starter
  • Strong technology skills

  • Current knowledge of best practices in elementary music instruction
  • Can implement effective classroom management techniques within a Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports framework
