Corporation Bus Driver
2012 - 2013 School Year

Salary/Pay Scale $ 65.61 per day (181 days per
school year)
·
Must be 21 years of age or older
·
Must have a current criminal background check on
file at EHSC Central Office
·
H.S. Diploma or GED required, advanced education
desirable
·
Must hold a valid commercial driver's license
(CDL) with "S" endorsement;
standard certificate (yellow
card), and/or previous bus driving experience preferred
·
Must possess good written and verbal communication
skills
·
Must be able to follow instructions and take
direction
·
Performs daily pre-trip inspection of bus assigned
to route
·
Drives a pre-determined route to transport
students to and from school, adhering as closely as possible to
time schedule set up for the route
·
Maintains control of students while under their
supervision
·
Reports all mechanical problems promptly and in
writing
·
Attends all meetings, schools, and training
sessions required by employer
·
Provides minor assistance to handicapped students
as needed
·
Reports all accidents and completes required
reports
·
Keeps assigned bus clean; checks interior between
routes for damage and/or lost items
·
Performs other duties and responsibilities as
assigned by the Transportation Director
·
Drives field trips as assigned
Purpose: To provide safe and efficient
transportation so that students may enjoy the fullest
possible advantage from the school district's curriculum and
extra-curricular programs.
