Must be at least 18
years of age.

High school diploma or
GED equivalent required.
·
Must have experience
working with students that are visually impaired.
·
Braille experience
preferred.
·
Must meet No Child
Left Behind Paraprofessional Education Requirements. High school
diploma or GED required and academic associates or higher degree
(in any academic area)
OR
receive a score of 460 or higher on the Para Pro PRAXIS exam.
·
Demonstrates interest
in and aptitude for working with special needs children.
·
Strong communication
skills.
·
Willingness to work
with teachers and take direction.
·
Must be a positive
person, who relates well with students and staff.
·
Self motivated.
·
Some experience in
working with students having emotional challenges preferred.
·
Able to lift or
restrain.
·
May be required to
change diapers.
·
May need to do heavy
lifting.
·
Willing to work with
S.E.D. children.
·
Computer skills
helpful, but not necessary.
·
Passion for disabled
children.
·
