JOB SUMMARY:
To maintain high school office,
ensuring the efficient operation of the school's educational
and administrative office and project a positive image on the
school community.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Maintains confidentiality of
office, staff and student matters.
2. Classifies, sorts, and files
correspondence, mail and other related data.
3. Converts source documents into
computer-acceptable formats.
4. Duplicates, copies, and prints
school system forms
5. Updates and maintains student,
staff, and building emergency information.
6. Maintains a student telephone
calling list through School Reach.
7. Maintains accurate and complete
files.
8. Enroll new students and process
all related documents.
9. Monitors and maintains student
attendance records
,
run ADA reports for Central Office and Food Service
Department.
10. Maintains current class
lists.
11. Answer phones, takes, and
dispatches messages, and responds appropriately to requests for
information.
12. Maintains log of teacher
absences.
13.
Greets all visitors courteously
, determines their needs, checks appointments and directs or
escorts them to the proper person. Maintains all legal
documents pertaining to restraining orders, restricted
pick-ups, etc.
14. Monitors all visitors entering
the building to see that they are properly processed.
15. Monitors and assists in the
maintenance of office equipment.
16. Maintains and updates transfer
and drop files.
17. Deliver and retrieve
inter-office mail at CO
18. Coordinate /type the daily
bulletins and assists in the dissemination of district
informational literature.
19. Photograph events and submit
to local paper.
20. Mail teacher letter/schedules
and information pertaining to open house.
21. Contact and coordinate
substitute teachers.
22. Other related duties as
assigned.
SUPERVISORY
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position does not require
supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION AND/OR
EXPERIENCE:
1. High school diploma or
equivalency certificate.
2. Prior experience/training with
computer operations and software programs.
3. Preference will be given to
candidates with prior experience in a school setting.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
1. Ability to communicate both
verbally and in writing, and interact effectively with all
aspects of the school community is required.
2. Ability to solve conflicts,
maintain confidentiality and remain open to various ideas and
viewpoints.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
1. Ability to perform basic
mathematical calculations using whole numbers, fractions,
decimals, and percentages.
2. Ability to perform mathematical
calculations to balance assigned budget items, invoices, bills,
purchase orders and other related items.
REASONING ABILITY:
1. Ability to prioritize and meet
deadlines while complying with established policies and
procedures of the building and district.
2. Identifies and resolve problems
in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes information
skillfully; uses reason even when dealing with emotional
topics.
3. Ability to concentrate, think,
read and learn is necessary to perform the essential job
duties.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of
this job, the employee must regularly sit, talk, listen, and
respond. While performing the duties of this job, the employee
is regularly required to sit; use repetitive wrist, hand and/or
finger movement; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The
employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or
crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include
close vision, distance vision, precise hand-eye coordination
and the ability to identify and distinguish colors.
Occasionally, the employee will lift up to 25 pounds or more,
such as, to lift files, papers and equipment.

The work environment
