Jackson Elementary is looking for a caring, out-going
individual to serve as a lunch & plaground supervisor.
The main job duties are to provide a safe,
nurturing environment where students can eat, play, and
socialize in positive and productive ways. Part of the
expectations include developing professional relationships with
the students, as well as teaching and reinforcing the
behavioral expectations for the playground, lunchroom, and
transitions in between. Effective communication
and management strategies are expected to be successful in
this position. This role functions as a part of a team of
staff to be successful in supporting students. Any
experience with the CHAMPS philosophy (from Safe and Civil
Schools) is a benefit.
The regular daily hours for the position are 10:50 am - 12:20
pm on all full-day school days in which students are in
attendance, which is approximately 176 days.

Time:
To assist the Lead Lunchroom Supervisor in
supervising all aspects
of the elementary lunch program
Major Responsibilities:

Assist the custodian setup,
cleaning up and general maintenance throughout the lunch
periods. Supervisor is to wash tables and benches after
each period.

Assist with administration of
first aid according to district guidelines and call nurse
when necessary.

Provide setup of playground
materials for student use.

Assist with monitoring of
student attendance.

Supervise students in the
lunchroom, on the playground, and in activities that take
place within the building.

Assist with student management
utilizing the school or district programs.
