DESCRIPTION:
This position supervises students who are
placed on in-school suspension due to discipline issues.
Specific responsibilities include: Ensuring students
comply with behavioral expectations; assisting students with
academic work; implementation of interventions; and
communication with classroom teachers and the administrators
regarding students' academic and behavioral performance.
QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates
are required to have 48 semester credits at an institution of
higher education, have an associate's degree, or pass the
District's basic skills test. This position also requires
someone who is motivated, proactive, good communication skills,
a good problem-solver, flexible, and has the ability to work
well with at-risk high school students, ability to work well
with other staff members, and ability to follow directions.
