Description:
Burr Ridge C.C.S.D. 180 is seeking an individual to serve as a Middle School Special Education teacher as a resource teacher. The successful candidate must be NCLBA Highly Qualified and State certified to teach Middle School special education. The appointment will begin August 20th and tentatively run through December 1st.
Job Summary:
* Caring, compassionate, dedicated teacher sought to work with the district's special education students in this newly established alternative setting at Burr Ridge Middle School.
*Implement a middle school curriculum tailored to the specific needs of the students and their IEP's.
*Learn and utilize the behavior management program and the physical management system.
*Work with other staff members and Principal to assure that all students receive appropriate supervision and appropriate therapeutic/instructional systems.
*Write appropriate IEP goals, participate in and attend student staffings.
Qualifications:
Type 10 LD/SED or Learning Behavioral Specialist 1 (LBS1) certificate required.
Previous experience/training in Physical Management practices preferred, not required.

Burr Ridge Middle School (5th-8th Grade)
