Description: Under the direction of district administrators, the Classroom Teacher is responsible for developing lesson plans to present district curriculum in assigned instructional subjects; instructing students using lesson plans and instructional material; and evaluating and assessing student progress against instructional outcomes and objectives. Teachers also participate and collaborate with other instructional professionals, administrators, parents, counselors, and other district personnel concerning student needs, issues and district learning initiatives.
Job Summary: Guide and assist ELL students to think, learn, and grow emotionally and intellectually. Enhance the opportunities for educational success for ALL English Language Learners. Plan a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of ELL students. Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of ELL students. Encorgage students to set and maintain high standards of classroom behavior. Assist in the development and implementatin of appropriate ELL program curriculum. Employ appropriate ELL instructional methods and materials for meeting stated objectives. Coordinate and ensure accurate assessment and placement of ELL students. Support efforts of the migrant program. Assess the accomplishments of ELL students on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required.Qualifications: Requires Licensure as an ESL/ELL Teacher.
