SALARY:  Grade B - $9.49 per hour

SUMMARY:
Assists in general supervision and direction of children in an elementary school After School Care Program.  Schedule is approximately 3 hours per day but may include additional hours on PIR days or other non-school day as needed.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned):
  •          Assists with group management
  •          Assists in maintaining discipline and other functions.
  •          Assists with set up of facility and prepares materials.
  •          Assists with attendance procedures.
  •          Nurtures injured or sick children; communicates with parents.
  •          Assist on outings, fieldtrips, and other outside activities.
  •          Assist with other activities necessary for the effective and efficient operation of the program.
  •          Treats all matters in a confidential manner.
QUALIFICATIONS:  High school diploma or GED plus two years post-secondary education, or ability to meet NCLB requirements.  Previous experienee working with elementary school age children preferred.
